DATA SOURCES

I. Kipeá

Azevedo 1965 = Azevedo, Gilda Maria Corrêa de. Língua Kiriri. Descrição do dialeto Kipeá. MA thesis. Brasília, DF: Universidade de Brasília. // An analysis of Kipeá phonology, syntax and morphology based on Mamianiʼs grammar and catechesis.

Mamiani 1699 [1877] = Mamiani, Luiz Vincencio. Arte de Grammatica da Lingua Brazilica da Nação Kiriri. 2a. edição (com notas introdutórias de Batista Caetano de Almeida Nogueira). Rio de Janeiro: Bibliotheca Nacional. // A grammar of Kipeá, written by a Jesuit missionary and originally published in Lisbon in 1699 under the title "Arte de grammatica da lingua brasilica da naçam Kiriri". Although it uses traditional terminology familiar to the author from Latin studies, the description is internally consistent and contains numerous examples of Kipeá sentences, constructions and inflection paradigms.

Mamiani 1698 [1942] = Mamiani, Luiz Vincencio. 1942. Catecismo da Doutrina Christãa na Lingua Brasilica da Nação Kiriri. Lisboa. (Facsimile edition, Rio de Janeiro: Biblioteca Nacional). // A Portuguese-Kipeá (partly Latin-Kipeá) bilingual catechism, the only Kipeá text available.
